Kebabe Girls High school teacher in Nyamira North Sub-county, has committed suicide in a mysterious incident yet to be unraveled.
The teacher’s body was found yesterday morning at around 10.30 am after his neighbours in a rental apartment in Mwobo Village noted that he had not opened his house in the morning as usual.
They reported the unusual incident to the Bokurati Sub Location’s Assistant Chief, Albert Angwenyi, who confirmed the incident to the press, saying the neighbours informed him that late Nicholas Kenani, 42, had not opened his door since Sunday morning when he entered in and locked from inside.
“I received a call from one of the late teacher’s neighbours who told me that since the teacher entered inside his house on Sunday he had not opened the door, a situation which was strange to his daily routine,” Mr. Ngwenyi said.
He said he called the Sub County Police Commander who responded immediately to the area of incident accompanied by criminal investigation officers who broke the door to gain access to the house and found the lifeless body of the teacher dangling from the roof of his house but no suicide note was found in the house.
The teacher’s remains were taken to Kinara hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy.
